We are Suijkerbuijk + Co, a small and informal accounting and tax advisory firm located in the heart of Amsterdam, close to the National Maritime Museum. We’re not a large firm, but a compact team known for clarity, expertise, and personal involvement. Our clients include independent professionals, creative entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized businesses.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a bookkeeper who knows their craft. Someone who works independently, enjoys thinking along with clients, and likes building something meaningful together. You enjoy working with numbers, keeping a clear overview, and communicating easily with clients. You are careful, forward-thinking, and know when to make decisions yourself and when to consult with the team.

The role

As a bookkeeper at Suijkerbuijk + Co, you will be responsible for the full financial overview of your clients. You will be given a great deal of freedom and trust. The work is varied and intellectually engaging — from preparing tax returns to advising clients on the growth of their business.


Your responsibilities
  • Ensuring financial administrations are accurate and up to date
  • Preparing various tax returns, including:
    • Corporate income tax
    • Personal income tax
    • Dividend tax
  • Preparing annual financial statements for a variety of clients
  • Filing VAT returns independently
  • Providing clients with clear advice on fiscal matters and financial decisions
